“What You Forgot” is a song written by Hayley Biegel Music to honor a very special young woman, Grace Holland Cozine. This live version featuring Grace’s sister Sophie Cozine, as well as Elena Ruigomez & Weston Siano, comes at an appropriate time right now where the whole world may be feeling “fierce & soft, happy & then not.”
The intersection of mental illness, Black Lives Matter and COVID-19 led the group to recording a live version of this song, hoping to “bring some hope in a dark time and raise awareness for the pervasiveness of eating disorders.” According to (NEDA), “eating disorders have historically been associated with heterosexual, young, white females, but in reality, they affect people from all demographics of all ethnicities at similar rates. People of color – especially African Americans – are significantly less likely to receive help for their eating issues.”
