NEDA 2021 Annual Gala

On behalf of the Cozine Family, we are hoping you will join us in support of the NEDA Annual Gala that is taking place in-person on Monday, October 25th, 2021, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, New York, NY.

After a year of change and challenge, we are delighted to gather with NEDA and the eating disorder community to celebrate the resiliency of our community. They will be honoring individuals and families who embody the qualities of recovery, strength, and hope that are beacons of light for others as they move through their personal eating disorders journey. We are humbled that The Grace Holland Cozine Foundation is among the honorees! As all of you know, this mission is very close to our hearts and helps us pay tribute to our beautiful daughter, Grace.

NEDA is making a difference with the funds raised. With your help, the funds will support The Grace Holland Cozine Resource Center and front line programming (NEDA Helpline and online Toolkits and web resources). The work NEDA does remains vitally important, consider these facts:

Helpline volume is up 53% year over year. Our analysis showed that usage went up every month in 2020, and continues to go up in 2021, even as we see some stabilization in the external environment. In fact, last month, our chat volume tripled over the month before.

The serious nature of calls, texts, and chats, related to suicidality, self-harm, and the need for child protective services, has reached a new level. Pre-2020, these calls were about 3% – 4% per week. Today, those numbers are consistently at 8%.

Access to care remains one of the primary issues standing in the way of recovery. Our grant last year to Project HEAL addresses Barriers to Access to Care and will chart the course for the community to create the strategies to solve this major issue that impacts hundreds of thousands of marginalized individuals and families every year.

With your help, we can do so much more—our goals include expanding our Helpline coverage to 24×7, 365 days a year so that we are there for individuals and families when they need us, day or night, in any time zone. And we know that real advances can be made when we invest in research that addresses prevention, treatment, quality of care. Together, we can and will make a greater impact.

Your support can help so much! All donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Please join us for the gala or to make a donation click here!
